I actually own three types of NDS flash carts, and used to own more, but I sold them. If anyone didn't understand a part (or all) of my above post, or if they have any further questions about NDS flash carts, feel free to ask me, as I know TONS about this kind of stuff.

However, even a perfect emulator would run at a speed of under 0.3 frames per second, making the emulator pretty much useless. Both the N64 and PS2 are actually more powerful than the NDS. I'd recommend the supercard however, as it's WAYYYYY cheaper than the M3.ĭamned, many websites will claim that the R4 can run N64 and PS2 games. SnezziDS can be run using two typed of NDS flash cards a slot-2 version of the supercard, or a slot-2 version of the M3. Also, SnezziDS will not cut off the top and bottom of the screen, meaning that it is the ONLY emulator for the DS which will run a very, very, very large group of SMW hacks. Although no sound may seem disappointing to some, SnezziDS allows one to change the layer priority, a feature which eliminate most of the graphical glitches SNESDS has running SMW. The sound-less version of SnezziDS can run most SMW hacks, although it won't play the sound. SnezziDS is an emulator which comes in two versions, a version with sound and a version without sound. (A slot-2 flash cart is a flash cart that goes into the bottom slot of your DS) SNESDS will run on any slot-2 flash cart. SNEMULDS will do this as well, but you can eliminate this by changing the settings- you cannot change the settings in SNESDS.
SNESDS can run most SMW hacks, though it has many graphical glitches and will cut off the top and bottom of the screen.
Their are two other SNES emulators (The R4 can't run either), SNESDS and SnezziDS. Thus, you are restricted to playing SMW hacks 2MB and under, which eliminates many SMW hacks. The main problem with SNEMULDS, the snes emulator which can be run by the R4, is unable to play SMW hacks over 2MB. However, the other two emulators can play certain games that the first can't. The emulator that it CAN run, is, by far, the best SNES emulator. The R4, like all other slot-1 flashcarts, can run only one out of the three SNES emulators for the NDS. Actually, if his goal is SNES emulation, the R4 is not the way to go.
